Otolaryngology – Physician Assistant – Hospitalist

Portland, ME – Full Time – 40 hours

MMP Otolaryngology is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide Otolaryngology inpatient care and consultations at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine. Practitioners are responsible for admissions to the service, consultations through the Emergency Department and Hospital, assisting in surgical cases and bedside procedures, and daily rounding, management and discharges of patients on the Otolaryngology Service. This individual would work in collaboration with a second Otolaryngology Hospital Based APP. Training in the fundamentals of general ENT with sub-specialty training as required will be provided. All clinical responsibilities are done under the supervision of an ENT physician. This position is 100% hospital based.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
• Prior experience preferred, not required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively triage, organize and prioritize.
• Ability to function as part of a team.
• Proficient in computer skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Current BLS certification.

MMP Otolaryngology is a 10 Physician, 9 APP practice covering all facets of inpatient and outpatient Otolaryngology Care.
